We are going to be hearing more about fuel surcharges being added to the price of your cruise.  Today no one enjoys a visit to the gas station but you might want to consider that the modern cruise ships use approximately 2000 gallons of fuel per hour.  Also consider that Royal Caribbean is reporting that their fuel costs increased costs by $60 million in the first quarter 2008.  Increased!

We are getting so many news stories that it is getting impossible to put them all in our Newsletter.  So, we are going to just give you the hilights of the articles. If you want to read the rest of the article, just click on the link which will take you to a page with the "long version" of the stories.  Hope this works out ok for everybody.  (You can also access these stories any time by clicking on Cruise News. on The Cruiseman Web Site.)

Trying to decide what to do with your Stimulus Check?  May we suggest making a deposit on a cruise for this year's vacation?   Deposits on most 3 night cruises are just $100pp, on most 4 day cruises they are $150pp, on 5 day cruises $200pp, and $250pp on all 7 day cruises. It's your money, and you deserve a great vacation this year!  Give us a call, and we'll help you with the selection process.

Attention East Coast Cruisers

Particularly those of you in the Carolinas, Georgia, Virginia, etc.  The NCL Majesty has been sailing from Charleston, SC for several years now,  doing the Western Caribbean and a few Bermuda Cruises.  Starting Nov. 15th she is going to shift to a new itinerary featuring Grand Bahama Island, Nassau, Great Stirrup Cay (private island), and Port Canaveral, FL.  The stay at Port Canaveral will be an extended one allowing time to visit the attractions in Orlando, or a trip to the Space Center.

We checked dozens of dates looking for the best rates, and it looks like Jan. 3rd & 10th are the very best.  All inside cabins are priced at just $399*pp.  All oceanview cabins are priced at $449*pp. (the remainder of Jan. is just a bit higher)  With "Run of Ship" pricing like this, those that book the earliest will get the best cabins.  Call our office to reserve your place now. (*govt. taxes & fuel charges are additional)

Happy Hour is tomorrow!   CLICK HERE for the details.

Cruiseman Funnies

Yesterday I went to the doctor for my yearly physical. My blood pressure was high, my cholesterol was high, I'd gained some weight, and I didn't feel so hot.

My doctor said eating right doesn't have to be complicated and it would solve my physical problems. He said just think in colors; fill your plate with bright colors; greens, yellows, reds, etc.

I went right home and ate an entire bowl of M&M's and sure enough, I felt better immediately. I never knew eating right could be so easy.
