We are sorry this is getting out a day late.  We got too busy yesterday booking folks on their dream cruise vacations!  Ready to book your vacation?  Give us a call!

Did you know? Scientists say that gazing at a photograph of a tropical setting doubles the release of the mood-boosting neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine. The result: an instant feel-good affect.  If a photograph will do that, just think what actually being there will do for you?  You've worked hard, and you deserve a great vacation!

Carnival Cruise Line had a very unique "naming" (christening) ceremony for the brand new Carnival Splendour last week in Dover, England.  See the article and video link in your Cruiseman News below.

The new Carnival Splendour shifts to California next April to sail every Sunday from Los Angeles to the Mexican Riviera.  But first she is going to do a one-time 5 nighter, sailing on March 31st.  This will be the very first California cruise for the Carnival Splendour, and we have space on her for you!  CLICK HERE for the itinerary and prices, and then give us a call!

We have a great article on the history and legacy of Carnival Cruise Line, which goes back to the very beginnings.  Think you know your Carnival History?  CLICK HERE and see.

Celebrity Cruise Line is phasing out informal dress in the dining rooms. Read about their new "Smart Casual and Above" guidelines below in your Cruiseman News.

Cruiseman Funnie

A man walks into a shoe store and tries on a pair of shoes.

"How do they feel?" asks the sales clerk.

"Well ...they feel a bit tight," replies the man.

The clerk promptly bends down and has a look at the shoes and the man's feet. "Try pulling the tongue out," offers the clerk.

Theyth sthill feelth a bith tighth," he replied.

Letters We Love

This was my first cruise and I really enjoyed it very much. Look forward to another in the future. Every thing was handled with the Cruiseman in a very professional way.  I was kept up to date with all transactions.  Very well pleased.  -- Ralph Rackley; Raleigh, NC (Carnival Sensation 6/15)

"Dressing for Dinner" from Celebrity's Captain's Club News:

One of the biggest changes to dining with Celebrity has nothing to do with food. For long-time cruisers like you, who truly appreciate the ambience of life onboard an ocean-going vessel, we are reviving one of cruising's most romantic traditions beginning on August 1st, 2008 -- formal dining. With up to three formal evenings on each cruise, you can celebrate in style and warmth of our exceptional service. Even those nights not designated as "formal" will include a certain elegance, as we phase out informal dress in our main dining rooms and specialty restaurants, replacing it with "Smart Casual and Above", a guideline that will add to the sophistication of each night out. Of course, those who'd rather not dress for dinner, are more than welcome to come and enjoy the expanded menus in the many casual dining options aboard each ship, where you'll find everything from pizza to sushi.

MEXICO has delayed until Oct. 1 the implementation of a law that would levy a head tax of $5 per person on passengers that visit Mexican ports. Mexico's Ministry of Tourism was originally going to apply the tax beginning this summer.
