Strengths: "Food options", "Outstanding decor",
"Value for price",
Weaknesses: "Blocked visibility in showroom", "Tight
booths in dining room"
Observations: Great value. Spacious public areas encourage fun. The
public areas are well designed and appointed -- the atrium in
particular was sensational. Prettiest Carnival ship, yet. The ship
made me feel comfortable and relaxed. This is toned down from he
earlier Fantasy-class ships. However, the subdued look does not carry
over into the lounges which are still a visual feast. This classy
ship offers many activities. I would recommend her to anybody. Ship
appeals to all ages, 1 to 99. Service was of an upper-market level.
Staff was not always sensitive to diversified passengers. Wonderful
service. Food was excellent; much better than past Carnival cruises.
Breakfast menu is weak. Dinner menus are fantastic. Food could be
better. Excellent food presentations. Cabins are spacious and well
laid-out. Best value is Cat. 7 or 8, mid-ship outside. Lower deck is
a good value. Worth the extra money for an outside cabin. Cat. 12
suite is the best but Cat. 8 & 9's are good substitutes. Library
is nice quiet escape. Disco was a bit unusual in decor. Marble floors
around atrium and grand piano bar area are very nicely done. Seating
in showroom was uncomfortable and had obstructed views. Great Pizza!
Good variety of activities offered. Spa area could be bigger. Gym
facilities were top notch. Wonderful children's area. Sushi bar and
coffee/pastries areas were big hits. Nice to finally have a
conference room on a Carnival ship. Not enough pool side music.
