Would you like to make some extra money selling cruises to your friends and neighbors?  We have a great Outside Agents program that might be just right for you.  Don't confuse this program with those "Become A Travel Agent" scams that cost $500 (or more) up front, and  more every month.  Our program is a simple system for selling cruises and making some great money on the side.

August - September is the time of year we renew our existing agents and try to recruit some new ones as well. The only thing we ask is that you are already an experienced cruiser.  CLICK HERE to read all the details of our Outside Agents program

Then read the article in your Cruiseman News about a "Become a Travel Agent and Get Rich" scam that you need to stay away from.

Carnival's "recategorization":  Last Friday (8/15) Carnival began a fleet-wide recategorization of their ships, starting with the Carnival Valor. The idea is that mid-ship cabins on each deck will now be in a different category than cabins located forward or aft, which will make it easier for you to select the actual location that you want for your cabin. The new plan will be fleet-wide by the end of the year.

Cruiseman Funnie

Two elderly women were fussing about their husbands over tea one day.

"I do wish my Leroy would stop biting his nails. That makes me terribly nervous!" the first one said.

"Oh, my Elmer used to do the same thing," the other woman commented. "But I broke him of that habit real quick."

"What did you do?"

"I hid his teeth!"

Letters We Love

Just back from a fantastic trip on the Liberty of the Seas . Everything was great, ship, food, service.  St Maarten was very nice and clean, would go back there anytime, took a tour with benards tours around the island was perfect.   The Liberty was awesome, we were first in line to check in at 9 am , we could not board until 11 30 am was fantastic.  The ship was full but we did not notice. We stayed at the Holiday inn across from port of Miami  before cruise, was nice and clean, was nice to watch RCI and Carnival pull in to port at 5 am.. Thanks again for setting us up with RCI...      Thanks again Jeff, Cheryl, Shelby Myers...   (Liberty of the Seas May 24th)

port spotlight  -- Santa Cruz Huatulco

HAL’s ’09 Mexico studded with new ports

Holland America Line is introducing the new port of Santa Cruz Huatulco, Oaxaca and scenic cruising through wildlife-abundant Bahia Magdalena on select 2009 Mexico cruises.

A breeding ground for migrating gray whales, Bahia Magdalena highlights the seven-day Mexican Riviera itineraries, while Santa Cruz Huatulco is featured on the new 12-day Pacific Mexico cruises sailing round-trip San Diego. These – and HAL’s nine- and 10-day Sea of Cortez cruises – offer a shore excursion to Mexico’s Copper Canyon.

In 2009 the line operates Mexico itineraries of seven to 15 days on the Ryndam and Oosterdam, most sailing round-trip from San Diego.
